The Story of Breathe Box

Updated: Nov 14, 2020

I first had the idea for Breathe Box after being delivered a care package by a friend of mine during the lockdown. This gift had a few craft things and games to entertain my son, but it also had a gorgeous hand cream, a small perfume, and a specialty tea bag, all made or sold by local people. As a person who suffers from anxiety, I was going through a very hard time, but the small rituals of making myself a really nice cup of tea, or giving myself a hand massage before bed, eventually led to me including much more self-care and mindfulness in my daily routine. Six months after I received this care package, I have started meditating daily, I have quit smoking and drinking, and I have managed to get myself back to the gym. It was the start of a very important journey, and now a gift that I would like to give to other people. My vision for the Breathe Box is that it will provide moments of calm, self-reflection, and a clear head through a carefully curated selection of products, all aimed to give you a moment to Breathe. All of the products in the box will be made locally in Cheshire and, as Breathe Box is a non-profit organisation, all of the profits from each sale will go towards a local organisation or community project. I am still in the early stages of developing this idea, and I will be looking for funders and for partners. If you or anyone you know would like to help provide funding or any local business owners that would like to sell their products, please contact me at info@breathe-box.co.uk. I would love to hear from you. Rhiannon Bevan - Founder, Breathe Box
